Types of Direct Support Professional Roles
Life Enrichment
Life Enrichment DSPs support people with disabilities in a center-based setting. They assist with personal care, daily activities, and projects, while encouraging skill-building and personal growth. This role includes helping with life enrichment activities, designing community outings, providing transportation, and offering case management support when needed.

Supported Employment
Supported Employment DSPs assist people with disabilities in community job settings. They train and supervise people at worksites, support them in building work and social skills, and help track progress toward goals. This role includes ensuring quality and productivity, providing transportation when needed, and supporting the team during both work and break times.
