Meet Camryn Warren

June Champion of the Month, Camryn Warren, is a dedicated Direct Support Professional who oversees multiple Rise crews at various community sites. Camryn joined the Rise team about a year ago, after working in warehouses and as a babysitter. “I decided to go with Rise because out of all the job positions out there, Rise was the only one that stood out to me,” she shares. “I love how Rise is understanding and compassionate to everyone and works towards making a difference.”

What Camryn loves most about working at Rise is the impact she can make on the lives of the people she supports. “Every day I come to work excited and every day I leave feeling like I made a difference,” she says. Her dedication and enthusiasm are evident in the way she runs her crews, creating a positive and respectful environment for everyone.

Colleagues often praise Camryn’s commitment and effectiveness. “Camryn was working at a community employment site and on the Rise work floor until it closed,” a colleague shares, “and then she agreed to run two community sites to ensure that persons served had employment.” This dedication to her role and the people she supports is what sets Camryn apart.

Camryn’s peers also speak highly of her abilities and attitude. “Camryn is a star in being respectful,” one shares with us. “She works with a wide range of abilities and every day she shows up and treats them with respect and encourages them to do the same to each other,” says one coworker.

Camryn’s impact

Her ability to manage multiple crews and maintain open communication with everyone on the support team has even drawn positive attention from our business partners. Another colleague notes that “running 1 site is hard, but she runs 2 a week! She splits her time and makes sure that each one gets her entire attention and focus. She comes up with solutions and works so well with all different kinds of people and abilities.”

Life outside of Rise

Outside of work, Camryn enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, and being around horses. Recently married and a new dog owner, she cherishes these changes in her life: “I am most proud of how my life has changed since working with Rise.”
