Denise Gibson, an Employment Consultant 2 at our Stillwater location, has been with Rise (and ESR prior to our merger) since 2016. She shares that, after working in retail and customer service management for several years, she decided to go back to school. During her time at school, she worked in a residential group home, which helped her realize her desire for “helping people in a meaningful way.”

For Gibson, building relationships and overcoming challenges are at the core of what she does. “It is so rewarding,” she shares with us. “Especially when someone tells me of the vital role that I have personally played in their accomplishment. I truly enjoy having a job that contributes to the enrichment of the lives of the people that I get to support.”

Gibson has been described by her team as “compassionate,” “hard-working,” a “problem solver,” and a “team player.” Of course, her dedication to supporting others also includes her fellow team members! One colleague noted that she carved out time in her busy schedule to help them with a task they had been struggling with.

In her free time, she enjoys playing board games, traveling, attending concerts and live theatre. A bit of a thrill-seeker, she also loves thrill rides, bungee jumping, and skydiving. As of now, she has only done a tandem skydive; one day, she hopes to do a solo jump!
