Rise

Throughout the year Rise has several events planned that are open to the public. Additional information for each event, including registering, sponsorships, tickets, etc., will be available online as we get closer to the individual events. Here are some of them -

Celebrate Talent, Fridley High School Auditorium, Tuesday, April 9, 2019

It was a fabulously fun evening of showcasing the many talents the people we support and our Rise team members have. The audience enjoyed singing, dancing, joke-telling, and much more. Special thanks to the tech team at Fridley High School Auditorium and community volunteers, including members of the St. Anthony Village High School Key Club, who helped make this such a great event.

Legislative Updates: Two dates and locations - Monday, March 16, 2020, at Rise Oakdale; and Monday, March 30, 2020, at Rise Coon Rapids

President Lynn Noren was to host informational session for families and guardians of Rise to address Minnesota legislative bills in progress, provide resources, and offer guidance on how to reach out to state legislative representatives as well as answer any questions or address any concerns people had. Unfortunately, these were cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. E-newsletters and communications are being sent out to families, people we serve, and associates on a regular basis to keep them informed.

Celebrate Rise! Fundraising Gala goes VIRTUAL, Monday, October 26, 2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rise has changed its annual Celebrate Rise Fundraising Gala to a VIRTUAL ONLINE event this year. Rise friends, family, and supporters are invited to tune in online on Monday, October 26 for this special event. This year's theme is "A Night Amongst the Stars." Full details will be made available later this summer.

We will honor our 2020 Rise'ing Stars,  Champion of the Mission, the Making a Difference honoree, and Community Partners.

Money raised at the gala supports Rise's Advancing Lives Fund from which people we serve can receive a one-time donation to cover needs not met by other sources, such as wheelchair ramp for home, assistive communication equipment and devices, tools and books for courses and training programs, work uniforms and shoes, etc.

You can view the 2019 gala's short video production here.

Pawel Williams, a student at St. Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights, produced this short video of the 2019 gala. Special thanks to him for his great volunteer work!

Sponsorship and registration information will be available in the summer.
