Kelly first came to Rise in August 2017 as a case aide and was recently promoted to case manager at Rise Coon Rapids. Her team members describe her as a great advocate for people served, helping to ensure they are all working to their highest potential.

A real go-getter, Kelly is quick to take the lead on different kinds of projects and can be counted on to carry out her responsibilities and commitments with energy and passion. For instance, last year Kelly took the lead for the Day at the Capitol, getting a group together to create signs and get people there. She also helps coordinate alternate-work activities to help people build upon or learn new skills.

Always a smile on her face, Kelly has a positive, welcoming attitude and displays “a spirit of learning” everyday. Further, Kelly “demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, judgement, creativity, and resourcefulness, and is always encouraging to fellow team members and the people Rise supports alike.” Adding to the list of positive attributes, others say Kelly is knowledgeable, kind, thoughtful, respectful, and works collaboratively.

Kelly previously worked as a physical therapist assistant as well with her family-owned business, Gateway Mechanical. She said she “wanted a job that could make a positive impact in people’s lives and make a difference in our community.” The best part of her job is the opportunity to bring joy to the people Rise serves and her team members. After work hours, family is most important to Kelly who also enjoys reading, hiking, swimming, and walking.
