Before coming to Rise, George Vargas worked in warehouse management for more than 30 years. Now, for the last nine years, George has brought that expertise to his position as warehouse specialist with Industrial Services with Rise. When asked about why he chose to work for Rise, and why he’s stayed for as long as he has, George said that Rise’s mission was the biggest factor.

George’s coworkers really enjoy working with him and appreciate the great work that he does for Rise. Specifically, they said, “George was incredibly helpful in making sure everything has run smoothly with production and programming changes that have been required in response to the pandemic.”

When we asked George to consider his favorite parts of his job and working for Rise, he told us that he enjoys the variety in his days working at Rise as well as the people.

And it sure seems like the people he works with feel the same way! His coworkers said that, “Everyone enjoys seeing George on the work floor. His positive attitude, energy, and willingness to help go a long way in making the Spring Lake Park production floor a great place to be!”

Outside of his time at Rise, George enjoys golfing, woodworking, and spending time with his family, which he says is what he is most proud of.
