Although he says that working with others is the best part of his job at Pentair in Anoka, Rudy Reyes also says he enjoys the solitude of working in the company’s cafeteria and dishroom every Tuesday where he cleans and washes dishes.

“I get into my own rhythm, keep focused, and get the job done,” he said. “It’s good to be reliable.” Production managers appreciate Rudy’s dependability and flexibility on the job.

After graduating from Champlin Park High School in 2008, Rudy came to Rise for career planning and employment opportunities. He started out working at Rise’s Spring Lake Park production facility and then joined the hard-working team at Pentair where he has been for more than five years.

“We work individually, but also as a team – we’re in this together,” Rudy added. The production workers handle a wide range of Pentair assembly jobs, including print pockets, small motors, and barrier brackets – all key components to the products Pentair markets internationally.

Rudy, who is 28, starts his work day bright and early at 6:30 a.m. and works until 1 p.m. He lives in a group home in Champlin. In his free time, he enjoys walking, watching movies, and listening to music. “And I love to spoil my rat terrier, Keagan,” Rudy said with a smile.
